You will need to spend at least $30+ out of pocket to be able to recycle ink carts. Toner qualifies as well as the same brand of ink. You must buy 2 ink toners per the weekly ad for the double promotion.

Is there a better option than these recycling programs for empty Brother HL-2170W toners? Seems like you have to spend a lot to reap the benefits and you can buy generic toner with good reviews for $10-15.

I assume you mean next week under the new program? Or do you mean today under the old program? If you recycle today under the old program you will get $40 for 20 carts. Starting tomorrow, 3/15, you have to buy $30+ in ink first to recycle. If you do this promo for $50+ in ink of the same brand or 2 toners of the same brand then you can recycle 20 carts at that time and hopefully get $4 per cart.

Why not.. Nothing has changed on that... Starting March 15, to recycle carts, you must have purchases $30 worth ink in past 180 days.. If you want to get into this double cart rewards deal (for $4 each), wait and do it this Sunday with $50 ink purchase.. If you do not want to buy ink until April 30, then recycle 20 carts today and buy ink by April 30 to get cart rewards for april..

Does anyone have a guess as to how they will police the recycling? ie. will they tell you at the register that you haven't purchased ink recently, or will you just not get the rewards?

Limit of 5 was not mentioned in the ad.. May be we will get only for 5 and call rewards to get $2 more for the remaining 15... This happened last month too and most of us were able to get a courtesy/rewards coupon...

Just a friendly warning, if you have recycled inks during double-double program last week, you won't be eligible for next week. (I'm assuming you recycled to the limit this month)

They had a double a couple of weeks ago with the same terms in the ad as this week but they only gave credit for 5x$4 unless you contacted them ahead of time so they could add that to your account. Some CRS said it was an error and some said it was a new policy. Those who pushed for the $4 per cart got the difference as a one time voucher good for only a month. So recycle 20 and take your chances and get a screen shot today of the terms in case you only get credit for 5 carts x $4.
