don't have the app but will dl and see if i get anything. nothing via email though.
used my free drink reward last weekend. got a venti hazelnut skinny latte with 6 shots espresso! |

Anyhow I really believe this is a targeted offer. I buy food and espressos all the time do I got a Refreshers offer  . I know someone who never buys food got the $2 food one and someone else who never gets espressos got the Espresso one. They have so many offers all the time so not too worried.

FWIW, I haven't been to Starbucks in about two months and I received the e-mail. I can't help NOT to go when I got $5 for free last week and then 50% off this week. Time to get my favorite (yet expensive), caramel macchiato frap. Wish me luck!

I went to a starbucks and gave the printed coupon to the barista...he looked at it for a minute and entered something into the cashier and it seemed to work... I used the registered starbucks gift card that I initially got from $5 free promotion earlier.

I didn't try this, as I didn't receive the email. I did, however, have a coupon for $2 off a food item in my star history. I used that instead.

I showed the barista the code then scanned my card but it didn't work. I was told by the barista that it had to have been loaded onto my card.
p.s. I do see a 50% off a refreshers drink on my rewards |

Didn't try the 50% off code, but I did try the $2 off food item that's on my card, it wouldn't work for 2 cake pops for $2.50 because each individual cake pop was $1.50. I think the food item has to be $2 or more on one item. But I did get a free Tall Caramel Macchiato from the other thread by just asking.

Just a head's up... this is officially a YMMV.
Starbucks Corporation released a nationwide email to all store locations stating not to take printed or otherwise electronically presented coupons. They are calling these e-coupons 'scams', stating that there is no way to enforce the 'one time use'... Some stores are still honoring them, however many are not. It's not like Starbucks could afford to toss out a few discounts, ya know... /Sarcasm... |

If I don't get these coupons on my registered card on starbucks app then I just won't be going to Starbucks. I tried the free tall machiatto and didn't like it.

I ordered the hazelnut macchiato (sp?) with the printed coupon, and when I gave her my gift card to pay for the drink, she told me that the card wasn't registered (though I just registered it to my SB account 5 minutes ago). Had to fib and said I also got it on my Android app but forgot to bring my phone with me. I then asked to change to an iced coffee with milk but she said because the macchiato had already been made it's on the house (I don't have to pay it). Ended up paying only 2 dollars for the raisin cookie I bought with the drink (that was basically free).
