Costco membership is worth it. I don't think there's name on it and believe we can buy it to give out like a gift.

BTW, if you want pay for membership to get this deal and then cancel with full refund later.

I've bought 3 of these . None had names on it. They're generic gift certificates.

Has anyone bought a membership from costco which expired and bought a new one? On costco's website it says the certificate is only for new members.

I did. I let it expire then did the online deal when you get all those coupons. No issues.

I had a couple of weeks to go on my previous all sport (Costco) membership and signed up for a supersport 2 year (costco) membership. The system wont take your phone # but you can choose any # to use as your check in.

I think what you guys are talking about is the deal where you pay a bunch of money for a couple years then after that they cut your price down to 10$ a month or something like that. There was also deals where if you signed up before the club opens they might cut your price down.

how is this "deal" not labeled dead yet?

I hear a lot of basic All Sports gyms are being renovated into "Super Sports", and most newly built gyms are "Super Sports". That's why I'm hesitant to jump on the Costco 2-year deal--I doubt I'll be living at my current location for 2 years, and even if I did mine might get renovated.

Oh man ... so I had the old Costco 350 deal. When my sport changed into a super sport they grandfathered me into the Super Sport until i finish my 2 years. So the two years came up last week and i tried to see what they had ... First of all ... if you had this deal you dont have any pull in terms for price negotiation. This means they force you to sign up as a new user no matter how long you've been with the gym. All that the person up front could offer me was 450 down today and 44.99 a month ... :-((((( and no down today and 54.99 a month ... that's it guys ... no loyalty ... nothing. I am peeved but i am happy they included me into the grandfather.

If I get another Costco 24 HR membership this would be my 3rd and I'm pretty sure you are allowed to use them over and over. They just put you into the system as a new person. If they give you trouble go to a different club and activate. Use same info ... it doesn't matter.

I might just consider going to Chuze because they are 10 a month.

It might not be an option, but you could prob go to the gym at your school. Im pretty sure those fees are still tacked on for grad students as well.

that's what i'll be doing. tuition will include access to school gym. that's why long term 24hr fitness is not worth it for me right now since i couldn't/wouldn't use it later.

I was with 24 for about 6 years. Did the 600 or so up front for both my wife and I and then 49 a year. We moved and had a kid, let the membership lapse... They sent renewal to old address. When I called to bring it current, they said after 90 days the account gets deactivated. Told me I had to sign up for a new membership.... Tried to escalate with no success. Dropped 1200 on our memberships and now they are no good. Biggest mistake I ever made....

Costco.com has Super Sport for 599 for 2 years and you can buy with a choice of 4 different credit cards . Consider buying with your card and making payments to it . Break down 25 dollars monthly . Cheaper even with finance charges . Can buy at some Costco stores but must use cash or American Express.
