Target | Pikachu 3DS XL $160, regular 3DS $130 (3/24 - 3/30)

I called Target today and said I wanted to stop by on Sunday to get a copy of Pokemon Dungeon- Gates to Infinity and a 3DS XL for my nephew who is a huge Pokemon fan and the rep brings up the Pikachu 3DS XL (which I wanted him to do). I asked him about the pricing of it when I go in to buy it and he said it's $199.99. So I'm thinking he probably can't release the discounted price, so after a short chat he wouldn't budge so I asked if any of the systems are being discounted because I heard of a sale. He said, "No, but if there is a sale it would be store specific......" Oh and yeah I called TRU too and the convo was pretty much the same. So is that true- the sales are store specific or it's everywhere and he just can't release that info?

It should be for all stores. For instance, Target is currently running a Buy 2, Get 1 Free game this week. If your Target has that promotion running, then it simply means all (or at least almost all) Targets have the same promotions.
I think the employee didn't want to disclose any information to the customer about future promotions. That is all.

Target.com probably won't price match .. still the safest thing is to preorder form there and then call for a price adjustment, methinks.
