Target | Pikachu 3DS XL $160, regular 3DS $130 (3/24 - 3/30)

So, I really want to buy this, but two questions:

1. Those Pika-Nipples are really bothering me and I worry that the Pikachu graphic will be too overwhelming. Anyone seen this thing in person to confirm that it looks decent?

2. Will these really be limited edition? Seem like there will be plenty to go around and not valuable in the future. Though I am bummed about not getting the Zelda one when I had the chance.

Also wondering this. I don't have much experience with GS online, but their shipping price is pretty hefty and I don't save on tax, so unless this item is going to be hard to get, not a lot of point in ordering there.

I have it on pre-order there, but if I can just stroll into Target and grab it for 159.99 plus tax, I'm obviously going to do that instead.

Does Gamestop typically pricematch sales like this one at Target?

I don't think this comes with a game. Nowhere on the box or ad does it say it includes a game. Even if it did, it would probably be a pre-installed game like Mario Kart 7. But yeah, until I see otherwise, I'm going to assume it doesn't come with any bonus games.

Does anyone have experience buying these limited edition items from Target? Do I have to camp out for this @ this price? I wanted to buy Wreak-It-Ralph in 3D and I had to go to 3 Targets since they only got 20 in stock on its release date and each store was out of stock.

I'm in Tacoma, WA and I can't say that I've had any issue grabbing limited items from Target . Most recently, I've gotten the Tomb Raider steel book and Wreck-it Ralph 3d without issue on release day. I tend to go after I get off work though, pretty much when they first open.


I'm really thinking about get a 3DS XL now. Maybe I'll just get a skin for it if it's too loud a yellow.

Might look into this deal. Great deal and if anything, the resell should get about $200. I only have a 3DS original but I do want to see if I feel better with a XL.

Ugh. I've been waiting for a limited edition XL to make it stateside. I've also been waiting for another sale on the XL like when it was originally released. I just don't know if I can go with bright yellow black nips pikachu though. I'm 27, and I just don't feel like I could take this out in public (not to mention that I don't understand why they positioned the graphic like that...). That said I still have the limited edition pokemon gameboy color sitting around, but that was from when I was a little kid.

Ugh. Decisions decisions. Wait for another limited edition and sale, or jump on this one...

You might have a better chance of getting another store to price match these bundles at the Pikachu Target price...if you can find those bundles available in store anywhere.

Online early Sunday morning is your best bet.

So my son lost his 3ds xl mario version, and I was looking around on the internet for a replacement. Saw that Amazon UK had the white version available for shipping to the US. Thought I would be all cool and get the white version no one else has. When I got it, it said on the box it was region locked for Europe. Really? Really Nintendo, it's necessary to region lock a portable video game console? Anyways, sent it back, my son found his mario kart 3ds xl bundle, pikachu version is going on sale in the U.S., which is just about as cool as having a white version, I guess. Only thing that sucks is Pikachu doesn't come with a game pre-installed. What's up with that? A limited edition with no game included? El cheapo Nintendo...
