Correct me if I am wrong, isn't buying Bestbuy GC better option than directly buying Amazon GC? With Bestbuy GC, you can either shop at Bestbuy or at Amazon using Kindle GC.

True, the redemption rates are the same. However, this way you don't have to drive anywhere if you already have something in mind that you want to buy on Amazon and the e-code is available instantly instead of waiting for the gift card to arrive in the mail.

I don't think the phone representatives can give the code directly without a transfer to a supervisor but the confirmation email should be sent to you within 30 minutes.

Citi slowly got worse over the years to the point you could only get 1:1 through paying off a school loan. We slowly started shifting over to Discover to rack up points and now that card is used for 90% of our purchases. Anything that has a better category on Chase gets shifted to that card for the quarter (Right now Chase has 5% Gas, but Discover does not).

BTW you can get 5% off Lowes or Home Depot GC on Discover's Cashback store _every day_. Also, you can get Land's End GCs for 20% off _every day_, which can be redeemed at Sears, Kmart, and Land's End.

Just recently I cashed out all of my CB at 50% bonus for Kia gift cards. We take our car to our Kia/Hyundai dealer for service, so I'm glad I have been redeeming very slowly lately. Normally I'd only redeem for Land's End, then for Lowes or Olive Garden from time to time.

Basically we only use our Citi cards periodically to keep them from being closed.

Strange. I called Citi about a week ago to ask them about the availability of Amazon gift cards and they said they no longer offer them and don't expect that to change. Not a word about still being able to buy Amazon e-cards by phone. Is the e-card option something you'd expect all the reps to know about if we call in to redeem?
