This, *but* the C920 is great because it has onboard H.264 encoding. It works great with an older C2D chipset as it does most of the work instead of shifting that on to the processor. Works great with my wife's C2D u9600 from ~3 years ago.

That being said, if your computer is powerful enough to handle it, you don't *need* that onboard H.264. I used to use a C310 with a C2D p8700 and HD Skype worked great (till my cat puked on the USB connection on the laptop, and the camera stopped working... laptop still works great though).

If you use Skype often, and have the bandwidth, I'd highly recommend a C920, but it's in a totally different price range than "free". It's been great to use with my family who live ~1,000+ miles away.

If you put both on the Same order. When you go to the rebate website and register you will register both items. Therefore you can submit 1 envelope. But they have to be on the same order.

I believe you can submit in one envelope. When you enter the rebate form, you'll enter two for the rebate.

Then at the top it says "AFFIX UPC CODE HERE TAPE ONLY!"

Do they read these things before they release them, or just print arbitrary, conflicting instructions they expect you to follow?

I put them on a separate blank sheet and got it approved.

The rebates usually have people put it in the rectangular box on the top right for a SINGLE item. The rebates usually only say to tape to the accompanying blank sheets if you bought more than one item.
