I hear the pink ones are the only defective ones, these should be fine, no?

Yes! Beware of these! ! once they go bad you're done.

Get some rechargeable batteries (eneloops etc) - you can use them in everything and its easy to replace them. I ended up throwing away 4 of these packs because they died on me.

I got the official microsoft one that came with the transforming dpad controller and play and charge kit. Liked it at first but after a fww months went downhill drastically and was having to charge once a day. I'd recommend just a pack of rechargeable batteries like others.

Perfect, as I need two batteries for my 3rd and 4th controllers, because I've lost/broken the Double A casing and they always fall out. I got the Recharger and 2 battery kit for Xmas like 3-4 years ago and it's been the best for my Xbox ever since.

Every time I use to goto my friends house, he'd take batteries out of his TV remote to get his Xbox controller to work, so I bought him a chargeable battery.

Hopefully these last long, as I've heard bad stories bout the pink ones dieing very quickly, but they were on sale for couple bucks on clearance...

just get eneloops.
worth the extra cost plus you can use them in any thing that takes AA or AAA

Ok guys, I have the solution to your problems. I posted this in an old play and charge pack thread and it helped lots of people, so I hope it helps you.

PROBLEM: These rechargeable packs die and dont hold charge after a while. They will struggle to stay charged if you don't use them for a long time (say a few months, sometimes even a few weeks) and you think it's dead.

SOLUTION: Actually they are not dead, they are just in a withered state. When you try to charge them, the red light goes green within a few seconds and stops charging because the charger thinks it's charged, when in fact it is just struggling to grab anymore charge. When the battery doesnt grab any more charge, the charger thinks it's charged.

HERE'S HOW TO FIX THEM:

1. Plug in the charger cord
2. It will show a red light for a few seconds, then turn green.
3. Pull out the charger cord.
4. Rinse and repeat, up to 10-15 times

After 10 or 15 times, the charger cord will stay red and you have successfully resurrected your battery. I have done this to AT LEAST 20 batteries, mine, my friends, and it always works. My friends always think their battery packs are dead but in fact they are not.

I wouldn't waste my money on these. As others have said, Eneloops are much cheaper, much more reliable, and can be used in other electronics as well.

I'm in for 1 i feel like its worth a shot Newegg has fast shipping and its either breaking even the only thing that sucks is that it doesn't come with a direct cable to the controller which can cause some tribulation..

good deal. my original white 360 batts that i got with my 360 in 2005 are finally dying. These are great as i have upgraded to the elite a few years back and my controllers are black. Good find. repped and thanks.

I totally agree. I want to get it, but they always DIE on me so fast. Better off using your own rechargeable instead.

Dumb question I know, but does this come with a cable or two to charge with? I don't read anywhere that it does and someone took my only cable...
