Borderlands 2 - 10$ at Best Buy - YMMV B&M

Tried today in CT. Didn't work.

The manager at my store is amazing. Worked on it for over 20 minutes doing refunds and charging it over and over again trying to get the system to accept it, when he could just have said-No.
He tried price-modifying it, tried giving me a "one-time" discount, but everytime he scanned the $30 off coupon, if overrode EVERYTHING and brought the price back to $29.99.
He said that he HAS to use the coupon inorder to get credit for it, he can't just "give" me a $30 discount.


Anyway, would have been awesome if it worked.


I am VERY VERY interested in what exactly OP said/did to get this to work...how exactly did they get the register to take $30 off. Maybe OP should post his receipt here. It would maybe help us to show the manager in our stores, how to get it to price for $9.99

Thanks OP worked for me and wanted to share my success. Long time lurker here

I called and spoke with a rep and they price matched then assured that I could go in and pick up and get a refund/price adjustment. So I did then was sent from in store pu to customer service. The supervisor over there suggested I may be double dipping but I told him the rep from best buy said I was not since I earned this coupon on my account. He said since that is the info I was given he would honor it.

I had to return it and purchase again on what he wrote up here

It worked for me just fine, and really had no problem. That's the reason for the posting of YMMV. The rep over the phone when I tried to price match online this deal (before I realized it was in store) said it could work and I'd have to take it in store.

Sorry for anyone that had no luck, I really just asked to price match the item, once that was done, I presented the coupon and they seemed iffy at first but let it go through. :/ Seemed easy enough...
