Yeah this game is very offensive but unfortunately people in America have been conditioned or even brainwashed to let everything slide when it comes to attacking Christianity or promoting immoral views for example if your a virgin your a loser. Basically what the entertainment industry says that goes. For example if Homosexual is the new norm than us Americans will believe it because hollywood or the media or even video games say so. I mean even Communist Lenin wanted to take over hollywood because he knew it was a major propaganda tool. People dont realize that its not just a game or a movie or news article its meant to attack Christianity(which is the majority religion in America) and meant to attack certain views and promote other views. And the manipulating or brainwashing is really effective. But like you said if it were Muslims,Jews and especially Atheists being attacked people would react and I will include if it was homosexuality being attacked and certain other actions or views than people would be upset. And yes they would never attack them anyways. But when it comes to Christianity or Catholic Church or moral views that have been held since the beginning of time than its open season. Many people like at these things and think nothing think its just a joke or just a game and thats how you know the propaganda is working. |

Using your argument you could say that racial equality is the "new norm". |

Based on the rapidity of this price drop, I anticipate $15 or $10 deals in the next few months and so I am going to continue to wait.
This isn't really the place for this discussion, but I wouldn't expect a game about assassinating people to promote Christian values. Look elsewhere for that. This game does not hide it's content. As the world's largest religion, with billions of adherents worldwide (about a third of humanity), I doubt Christianity is going to be destroyed by some violent entertainment. I'm mature enough to enjoy these games responsibly and get my moral teaching elsewhere. It is the case that it's more acceptable to criticize the majority rather than the minority, but I don't see that as a problem. It's not dangerous to be a Christian. If hatred of minorities was acceptable (Muslims, Jews, and atheists were mentioned as examples of religious minorities), those minorities could be scapegoated and face real persecution and danger. Which has happened many times in history and continues to occur today. Noone should be endangered by their ethnicity or peaceful practice of religion. People call for violence against innocent Muslims, Jews, and atheists (the single most distrusted group in America) all the time and I'm glad such views are not socially acceptable. I haven't played this game but I expect there's some casual mockery of maybe neoconservative Christians, nothing extreme to get all excited about. Let me know when there's a popular game where throwing Christians to the lions in pagan Rome is encouraged and I may join you on the picket line. If my post is helpful to you, consider repping it.

I guess overall moral is, never buy games full price or day 1 - they will drop, and drop fast. |

As the op of this deal I feel it i should make a statement about all the controversy it caused.
When I posted this deal I was only thinking of the enjoyment my fellow gamers would have executing virtual marks. To sit on your couches or even bean bag chairs eating cheesy poofs and downing Mountain Dew. Taking out your days frustration on those evil pixels regardless of their race, color, or creed. I do not in any way support hate of any biological person... Except for the French. I want to live in a world where people of all races and religion can sit in front of their tv and headshot each other in peace. So I ask you my brothers and sisters to put aside your differences, pick up a controller and enjoy the virtual worlds game designers have built for us. For we all know that the real world is much uglier then any game. Peace, love, and happy hunting to all. |
