I am soooo confused by the op. For one, the DVD for season 2 came out in 2006 near when they started airing season 3. So saying you're excited about the "impending" release, doesn't make sense, and asking if there will be a season 3 (when it aired in 2006-2007) and was released on DVD in 2007 doesn't make sense either. The show was canceled in 2007, so no more seasons, unless the movie actually gets made, somehow becomes a success, and WB execs decide to bring it back. Kristen Bell has become a bit of a star since then, so I'm not sure she'd be up for a series (though I'm not sure what she's done recently), but I'd love it if they did. I just don't see it happening. However, I did like the idea they had for Season 4, and maybe that's what they'll go with for the movie. It was going to jump ahead in time with new characters, as Veronica was going to be working in the FBI. It was an idea to keep the show going, and yet start anew so they could bring in new viewers. They shot a short "pilot" (as they were pretty much treating it like they were pitching a new show to the network), which you can see as one of the bonus features on the Season 3 DVD.

I thought it was probably copied from somewhere, just couldn't find it. Figured it might have been the reviews, but didn't feel like going through them all . Still the OP later asked about a third season and seemed baffled when someone replied that there is a third season.
