Wool Omnibus (Wool 1-5) Kindle eBook $4

Tempted to pick this up; I like asimov but dislike sci fi and fiction in general. Thoughts?

Great series! And definitely check out the "Shift" series afterward because it is like a prequel to the WOOL series.

WOOL was simply amazing. I haven't enjoyed a series/book that much in quite some time. I'm currently reading the Shift Omnibus right now and it's just as good (so far). As far as the movie rights, I'm pretty sure they'll butcher it with big-name Hollywood actors, but such is life. A lot of potential though.

Just finished Wool and am on Shift... Great story, for those debating. Shift is looking to be pretty good as well about 25% in.

Grabbed it last time it was 1.99 and loved it! I was just as hesitant as some of you. However I would happily pay regular price for it, even a little discount makes it a stel!

Someone said Dust is a prequel... actually, after reading Shift I'm pretty sure that Dust is a sequel.

Correct reading order is Wool-->Shift-->Dust.

Timeline is probably Shift-->Wool-->Dust (but DON'T read it in this order).

Shift explains many things but also throws in some unexpected twists. Everything in Wool is not as it seems...

I love that he keeps the price low despite the popularity of the series, and that he sold movie rights and print rights but kept the digital rights. The fact that a self published kindle author can reach such a high level of popularity without the usual route of agent and publishing house is testament to the benefit of writing in this digital age.

I think you are allowed to loan kindle books only once. Having done that with the Wool and Shift series, I bought additional copies as "gifts" sent to my own email address. That way I can forward gift codes to others who will be able to keep and loan their own copies. You should definately read "Wool Omnibus" before "Shift omnibus", otherwise Shift becomes a spoiler. (Among other things, you NEED to wonder why they don't use elevators!)
