When I returned my tablet that I bought last week using the $75 off coupon, the manager at my local Staples had to call it in to corporate because it was a "high-priced" item. He made sure to mention that I used two separate Staples Rewards certificate and that I was requesting for those points back on my Rewards account. It turns out that there's no way for local Staples locations to re-issue rewards points, so corporate authorized it back to my credit card.

TL;DR: I turned Staples Rewards certificates into real money during a return.

ummm i returned my asus vivotab smart that i used about $300 worth of rewards on and did not have that experience. 6 rewards balance coupons printed out with the return receipt.

Question about that. I purchased the Lenovo Lynx last week using the $75 off coupon. It was "on sale" for $550, and now the price has gone back up to $600. Can I still ask for a price adjustment with the coupon? Your phrasing states that you have to do an on-the-spot re-buy, but since the price is different this week, will I be re-buying it at the sale price or the current price? I couldn't find any documentation about this on the Staples website.

The coupon is not exclusive to Surface, as we all know. Of course, this doesn't change the lackluster sale numbers. For what I need to use it for, it's great, and my price point was $399 with 100% paid with rewards. Compared to my Note 10.1, it's built like a tank! I wish RT also came with a stylus. Oh well.

Was the return BEFORE the expiration date of the Rewards used? Were the Rewards used first time, or did you use a balance Rewards coupon or a refund Rewards coupon?

Are you sure it is $323 before $50 rebate, not after $50 rebate?
How can you make its price lower to $423? With rewards coupon or $75?

The coupon works on windows laptops with " regular " price over $479.
