I have the 1015PE from a deal a year ago and I find it pretty useful. I usually have it next to my bed to read things. I have linux mint installed, which I like because I do like linux though I won't have it on my desktop. The one I received also looked fairly new and I didn't find any issue with it.
Still have mine for a year and half now and its working perfectly, Just remember guys, if it doesn't seem to hold a charge or flikers its not the battery but the power cord. Since Cowboom has so many used preowned $hiet they be sending the wrong Power Chargers, so you can call or chat with them and maybe get a $10.00 credit or just buy one from Amazon for about $10.00
eh i don't understand the appeal of this deal. weren't these things selling for $200 new when they came out? imho they are pretty much worthless now. i just picked up a 11.6" asus touch screen core i3 from staples for around $200 AC/AR.

Flash block is required to browse the internet. GPU is complete garbage. Light gaming?
A lightweight linux distro is required to make this CPU barely passable.
I have used one of these before running windows 7, and the speed is not as bad as you think. It's actually quite adequate for basic computing, as long as you're not doing too many things at once.
Solitaire still counts as gaming, no? lol
But I never really understood the concept of netbooks. Even though they are dirt cheap, I feel like it's justified given the limitations... You're not getting more for your money. In fact, you're getting less
I own a Dell netbook, and while its useful, its really slow, even after I upgraded the ram to 2 GB. For surfing the web, a tablet would be much better. For portability, a tablet is better also. That's why netbooks have virtually disappeared from the marketplace.
edit: The great thing about it though is that it runs Microsoft office just fine.
I'm on a Samsung N150 plus with similar specs but 2gb ram. It runs flawlessly on win 7 ultimate with the right tweaking! I use it everyday for most tasks like office 2013, browsing the web, and watching streaming video. Configure it right and you are good to go! There are many websites you can google for optimizing a netbooks performance on windows 7 to get the most out of your setup! 3 years later with the same configuration I had initially installed without a hiccup! Priceless in my books!
