eBay has done promos where one single listing was exempt from all fees, though I believe those promos all required that you list using their mobile app. As for getting 500 listings with no fees at all..... only in our dreams.

That's obviously a bug. Contact customer service and they will fix it for you. (BTW, it's against eBay's policies to list expired foodstuff for sale, so be very, very careful about that in the future. I haven't done that before, but I've seen other people's listings get removed for that reason. Definitely don't draw attention to that when talking to the CS rep.)

Thanks OP for the mention. I get frustrated with Ebay as do most people, from giving buyers all the power to their ridiculous "Vero" program which screws people left and right. But regardless, paying <15% total between Ebay/paypal is still a good deal for the amount of traffic you get by using ebay. I now make a living selling on Ebay, and make more money that I ever did working real 9-5 jobs.

Ebay pays very close attention to that, I've listed items that were within date at the time of insertion, and had them pulled the very first day that they became expired. Get caught twice within a few months and they'll suspend you account. It's unfortunate since the savings on buying "expired" items is huge, and there's really no difference within the first year or two. The FDA actually did a study for the military some years ago and found that the vast majority of common drugs lost almost no potency even 5 years past exp and were just as safe. The only differences are on things like antibiotics and injections.

move over to eCrater and list your products for free. eBay has no respect for it's sellers

Saying "eBay is crap" isn't criticism; it's just threadcrapping.
