Usually they dont care to much as ive used printed copys many times too, but you will get denied every so often. Just kind of YMMV. I had one cashier still do it for me but tell me she was making an exception since they technically dont allow that. I dont understand why it would be a big deal since the coupon code on it is public for online use, so why not allow it for in-store too.

This is because the person who posted this does not have his kohls card. I use my SS# to have them look up my kohls card each time as well.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Three of us are kohls members here and we all got 20%'s lol.

Its not a big deal though, as long as one person posts a scan of their 30% I can use that, so its a moot point.

Without a SS#, how does Kohl's system look your account up? Noone but yourself and Kohl's computer system know about the SS# input. The Kohl's associate can't see your "PRIVATE" SS#. He or she only looks up your ID for verification purpose, making sure you're NOT abusing someone else's SS#/account.

Umm, with the card itself? The person I replied to was replying to someone asking if they ask for your ID if you use the card...they said they ask for ID and SSN. They didn't say that they didn't have the card, so I'm assuming they meant when you use your card at the Kohls they shop at and have the card present, they ask for ssn and id.

Obviously they cannot see your private ssn. But if you had to enter your ssn every time you used a credit card, would you think that is excessive? Yes.

Maybe you should go back to bed Grandpa. Or stay out of other people's conversations when you don't understand what is being discussed

We only ask for your SSN# if you do not have your card and if you wish to look it up. If you do not sign your Kohl's Charge or write "ASK FOR ID" on the back, we will ask for photo ID.

I use DH's Kohls Charge all the time, only my last visit was I asked for ID since the lady said the back of it is not signed. I showed her my ID and the 30% off mailer q with DH's name. Got some really cute stuff for the baby. Although, in retrospect, probably didn't have to buy the expensive Converse All Star Socks that look like sneakers.. they only had it in size 0-6 months and my little 3 month old is too big for them, would have been the perfect accessory when he was a newborn.. very very cute, they are in the baby sock section.. $15.00 regular price, sale down to $10, then I had the 30% off, so $7.. too expensive for 2 pairs of socks but VERY cute! (yes, I put them on him and snapped several pictures, but they wouldn't stay on because they are so small, so going to save it for another baby)
