Very tempted also. I'm really a green guy for my main rig but have red cards in other systems around the house with no issues. Wanting to upgrade my 560ti but not necessarily in a huge hurry, should I wait for newer stuff later this year? Why is buying a videocard always so painful decision wise like buying a new car

Unless your running something higher than 1920x1080 I would probably wait

I was going back and forth about getting the 7870 XT/Myst Edition or the 7950. I decided to get the 7870 XT/Myst Edition instead because I wanted to run crossfire and 2 HD7950 would've been too expensive given that the 7870 XT is close enough in performance. My 2 7870 XT/Myst Editions came out to $318 after getting rid of the game coupons. Now I can run just about any games out there at 2560x1600. If you only want to run 1 video card, then the 7950 is obviously better, but it does come in at about $60 more. One other thing, my 7870 Myst Edition is loud. The cooler runs at 100% when running Crysis 3. So, paying a little more for a better cooler like the one from Sapphire may be worth it, but in truth, when it's hot and heavy during gaming, the noise is not really a factor.

Can't decide if I should sell my 560TI 448 cores and pick one of these up...

Not sure if this is worth the ~120$ to upgrade.

I tend to get the one that has better value/performance ratio since a few frames here and there don't really matter. I chose 7950s this time, one that's the model in this thread and one MSI Twin Frozr, to do Crossfire. Tweaking is easy to do with the Radeons and once you OC them (I have mine at 1100mhz Core and 1250 mem), they're fast. OC definitely helps on my 2560x1440 monitor.

I initially got a 670GTX, but returned it in less than a day because of driver issues with Arkham Asylum, which is funny since it's a NVIDIA title. Didn't have any issues once I got my Sapphire 7950.

In the end, both companies make good GPUs, I'd get the one that has the best bang for the buck.

I noticed on my 2L Sapphire, the voltage is indeed locked. I can't set it to anything, it'll boost to 1250mv no matter what I set it to in Afterburner. My Twin Frozr can be set to any voltage I assign it to though.

How is this card against a 6950 unlocked?

Only you can make that decision. Look at these numbers and see if the difference is worth it to you.

Anyone suggest buying them from newegg or amazon? I have Shoprunner and Prime. Will it be easier to sell the codes from either one. I dont want the games. Ill probably throw them on eBay. I just got a third monitor and my current board doesnt have enough outputs for eyefinity. Hopefully this will give me what i need.

if you plan on selling the games, expect to sell them for $45 on ebay - ebay fees = $39.34 total.

CA tax on 269.99 + ~$23 = 293 - $39 = $254.

Average ebay price for just the card = $259.
