How bad is the odor on this brand? I've only bought piddle sticks from bestbullysticks but their odor-free sticks have been as bad as their normal odoriferous sticks but at about twice the price. Thanks for any info. BTW it looks like these do go lower than their current price quite often.

Very cool! My wife bakes my dogs home made peanut butter treats that may be good for your diabetic pup. They are simple to make and the dogs love them. Here's the recipe.

2 - 3 heaping tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
4 cups flour
1 egg
1 cup of milk
Add water if needed to soften mixture if too thick
Roll out the dough to about a quarter inch thick and cut with cookie cutters
Place evenly spaced on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for aprox 20 minutes
Allow to cool and store in a zip lock bag.

Your welcome! We have three spoiled rotten rescue dogs so we make a lot of their food and treats from scratch. There's a lot of simple, healthy, and cheap meals you can get recipes for online. A few great ingredients are applesauce, kidney beans, soy, and chicken. Use low sodium chicken broth instead of water in all your recipes.

I buy this through Amazon's bestbullysticks seller. Odor varies by package. Some packages are near odorless and others are NOT. To extend the time between purchases I have traded size for quantity. More frequent treats! Dog is happy.

I don't think a Yorkie can eat these. I bought a six pack around the holidays and I gave 2 to my dog (mid size mutt) 2 to a large Lab and 2 to a Shih Tzu & the Shih Tzu could only lick it.
They were hard as a rock.
The other dogs loved them but a Yorkie is not going to be able to bite into one.

I bought them at Marshalls in the pet section and unless they were incredibly stale these things are hard enough to break a small tooth.

It is a great price though because I paid $5 for 6 bars.
