So I currently have a wireless n 2.4Ghz router on the other side of the wall from where I use xbox, and nobody within range of me is using a dual band router, so the 5Ghz band should be relatively clear.. Does anyone know if this headset should be fine since only the 2.4Ghz band would be in use? I'm not able to find any solid info on if this would attempt using both, or would be able to detect and just use 5Ghz instead?

I've been using these headphones for a couple of months now and I have only ever had interference when they were plugged in. I never heard it, but my friends told me my mic was buzzing. Not a big deal, just plug them in when you aren't playing. The battery lasts for hours. I have a few other TB headsets, a Tritton Pro and the Skullcandy Plyr 2. IMO this blows them all out of the water and is a steal for this price. They sound great, are really comfortable and there a ton of bonus features that I really appreciate. Being able to listen to music while playing at a different volume than the game is awesome and they really give you full customization over the sound coming from the game. If you're playing Search and Destroy, there's an option that increases footstep and gun sounds and drowns everything else out. One last thing I wish I knew before buying these, if you have a pro/tournament controller the wireless puck for chat that comes with this probably won't work. It needs the two prongs on the sides of 2.5mm jack in the controller and most pro controllers don't have that. Just buy a 2.5mm to 2.5mm cable and you'll be fine.
