$19.99 The Avengers Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack
Exclusive set includes 3D version of the movie, character guide, and lithograph card.

SKU = 6571643
This is an in-store item only so no online stock checker. (NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE! Link above)

What's in the Box:
4-disc 3D blu-ray version of The Avengers (3d blu-ray, 2d blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy)
208 page Hardcover book with artwork
$30 gift card to Sideshow Collectables (reportedly expires 9/25/2013)
7x9 inch Litho Card
The box itself lights up with a button

For those of you who have been doing the daily Facebook polls, this could be the perfect item to use that Facebook offer of getting 500 rewards points back for spending $10 effectively making this gift set $10

edit: Just got back from purchasing two copies. Price rings up $19.99 in store so no worries there.

also added a picture of the front and back for anyone interested.

All indications are that this sale should last a week but Best Buy is known to abruptly stop a promotion. Or the store could simply run out.

Saw this online and went to the store - they said they had no idea what I was talking about. Wish I printed it out.

Most of the stuff we can't get directly from who Best Buy gets it from though and that's the difference. Can we get this product from anywhere other than Best Buy (not counting resellers)?
This is a movie, not a cure for cancer. If your price point was $20 and you can only get it from resellers for more then they will just have to live without it. And guess what, its not going to impact their standard of living at all. There are several things i would like to buy but the price point is too high for my liking but i don't whine that the stores are selling them for too much and making too much money. Bestbuy could have easily limited it to one per guest but they didn't. That was their choice, and if someone wants to cash in i see no harm in it.

And it's not just the act of reselling. It's when people clean out a store of 19 to resell. If you're so into Capitalism, you wouldn't have a problem with all store employees working together on Black Friday by buying everything in the ads before the stores open then notifying people at the door that they are willing to individually sell each item to the people waiting in line for a small markup. Everyone wins right? You pay less than regular price and they are making a profit. The beauty!
Buying 19 in a single store is a lot, and it would have been nice of they left some for other people. And that particular reseller was an ass for giving the other SD member a dirty look but again, not the end of the world. Its not a cure for cancer, its a movie and some tat to fill your house with.

And your example about black friday isn't quite the same seeing how bestbuy sell most/all of those door busters at a loss to drive traffic to the store. If there was no doorbuster deals, their stores would have substancially less traffic on BF which is a big indicator of the Christmas season. But when it comes to regular deals like this, i don't have a problem with employees buying the deals. I would consider it a perk to having a crappy job and dealing with pain in the ass customers for minimum wage.

When you're on their website, go to the bottom and find a link that says Gift Cards or something. It should bring up a list of the items that are gift card eligible. I don't think a single person has used theirs...if that tells you anything
i can see why now. there's really nothing unless you want a $200 figure. maybe they will add a few more things before it expires...

I managed to grab one yesterday after work. I called the 2 stores in my area during my lunch break. The first was out, but employee answering phones at the second store offered to place it on hold for me. I'm glad i did, as there were out by the time I picked mine up. Good deal, thanks for the heads up.

Most resellers are stupid because they can't do the math. As someone pointed out eBay charges 12% commission on movies. Paypal charges around 3% fee. You have to tag at least 15% to break even. Depending on state tax, you could still lose money at $25. And let's not forget you need boxes to ship out this item. So hopefully you've been saving those Amazon boxes so you don't have to pay for boxes. Unless your post office is within walking distance, don't forget the gas money.

Keep in mind, most people have this movie already. Target sold its 3D exclusive edition for $20 during the first week. This was the biggest blockbuster of 2012 in terms of box office sale, most people would have picked up this movie for 20 bucks from Target online or in-store. Not to mention Best Buy sold this item for $40 for a while. There is a reason why this item is hard sell at $30 today.

Looking at eBay, many $30 giftsets don't even have a bid. Only idiots will even consider reselling this on eBay. Selling to international buyers? I did it just once. It cost $60 to ship to Singapore. This is a very heavy item. You will not find many people willing to pay that much for a movie. Unless you ship it using express mail, there isn't any USPS tracking for international packages. So you're at the mercy of buyer who wants to rip you off by reporting to eBay that they didn't get the item even though they got it. I stopped selling anything to international buyer because someone in Germany pulled this trick on me (on unrelated item). I ended up losing the item plus shipping because eBay closed the case in buyer's favor.

I just bought one of these from the Best Buy in Lithonia. I asked the associate to hold one for me. I'm not sure how many they have left. If you live near there, you may want to call. bounce vomit

It is not stackable with any other card or offer. You only get to choose from a few items and the gift card does not cover shipping. It is not nearly as good as it sounds.
