I got the hp g6-2278dx new in unopened box for $229+ tax in Bestbuy clearance. Please checkout your store clearance as well.

I pulled the trigger on this Asus. Not crazy about it being refurbished, but will give it a shot and see how I like it. Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't have any problems with it. I just bought the HP from Staples last week for the $275 (after coupon/rebate) deal. After a week of limited usage (mostly surfing and learning how Win8 works) the HP seems nice, I'm just not liking Windows 8 very much. Therefore the HP will be going back to Staples this week.

Tried buying this in Portland OR last week. Online said it was in stock but when I went to the store (went to 2, one on my lunch break and one on the way) Neither had them.

 . I typically buy refurbs exclusively. New ones are pumped mindlessly from a factory, refurbs through the right vendors have had the white glove treatment.
