If the box has any damage to it, take pictures. If the drive goes bad be sure to tell the Newegg rep about the box damage. Newegg may do a claim with UPS to replace the drive. That way it will not cost you anything to return the bad drive vs doing an RMA which you will have to pay to ship the drive back. Newegg has done a better job at packaging their hard drives but UPS can be brutal.
Be sure to test the new drive before putting it service. Run surface scans or other testing to work the drive to see if problem develop before putting your files on it. |
