Asus VivoBook 15.6" Touch Screen Ultrabook Computer, Black, Intel Core i5-3317U 1.7GHz, 500GB HDD + 24GB SSD, 6GB RAM, 1366 x 768 - $600 w/ FS @ Adorama

I have a HP Sleekbook which has big screen and light weigh (love it very much); however, still want something else with touchscreen.
This laptop is perfect; however, the screen resolution is the WORSE

ASUS makes great products, but have the absolute worst customer service. I used their bright pixel policy on this laptop (brand new). Came back after a month looking like it's been used over a year. Scratches everywhere. Giant screw driver pry marks to open it. Dust behind screen. Large gash in bezel. I was pretty mad and sent it back. It came back much better this time. Smaller pry marks, still dust behind screen. Biggest problem then was 4-5 giant finger prints behind touchscreen where I can't wipe them. Very visible with screen off or a black dim background. I was not happy but settled since I was sure next time other problems would surface. Anyways, great products, terrible service.

Does this have a dvd drive?

if it is a 1600X900 or 1080P. that will be great~~~but it is only 720P.....

If by weaker you mean processor, then thats not true. They both have an i5 with the same graphics and about the same battery life. The asus does have 6GB ram (surface pro has 4GB), a larger HD, and a larger screen at a cheaper price. The Surface Pro has the smaller form factor and a smaller, more portable screen with a pen (wacom), higher resolution at 1080p (asus has only 768p), and a magnetic keyboard. Not to mention the Mg case is pretty sweet. So what it really comes down to is what you need it for and your preferences.

i think this is a nice deal but no display card is a downside
