Free EA game with Simcity 5 purchase

Not really, the servers are fine now. The biggest issue lately is just traffic and services ai. Community has started to use the debugger to do interesting things as well.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

The game is horrible. You must have an always-on Internet connection to play. EA has taken a dump on its customers and has shown no remorse. The gameplay itself has mediocre at best- small maps. I haven't read anything but negative reviews.

I want to love this game, I really do, but everything I've read says its a no-go (at least for now). No subways, no big cities etc. It just doesnt look/feel right. Just one man's opinion.

I agree it has issues and isn't a carbon copy of Simcity 4, but it is not a disaster. People that have never played it have tried to say it is, like the guy above you.

The biggest issue lately is just the traffic and services ai? haha.. ok thats basically the whole freaking game... this is SIMcity... if the AI is broke then that game is garbage..

SC2000 was the last best SimCity game I played. SC4 was bugged and too slow. I was dreaming about the latest SimCity as being my go-to game in 2013, but it just didnt happen. I'd rather find something else to spend $$$ on.

There are far too many AI, traffic and specialization problems right now. I love the game but it gets unstable once you hit the ~70-100k residents mark and it's almost impossible to balance things, even if you have several cities in a region. Not even talking about the great works bugs, the inter-city interaction that's very flawed, and various other small bugs (complaints about crime when you have 0 crimes a day, for example)
I honestly wish they would just fix the game instead of bribing us with another game, and the list is not really impressive (every game on the list I have either finished or had no interest in playing...)

The game's very design is flawed. People whine about the always-on DRM but that's not the problem. The problem is the game has no learning curve, no difficulty rating. It's like Farmville for SimCity sadly. Sure, you can enjoy it. And if you're ever going to buy it, now's the time to get it with a free game. I only stuck through because Amazon gave me $20 off and this game makes it another $20 off, meaning i only paid $20 for SimCity. I'll say $20 is worth the few hours i'll enjoy it until the community makes some mods and such

Best deal here is Dead Space 3 or need for Speed MW for free. The rest can be had off and on for $5-$15 pretty regularly.

This is perfect... There are at least two deals for SimCity for $40 that go live on the 24th. And I've been planning to get NFS:MW anyway.

Yeah, a $20/$20 split on SimCity and MW is a great deal, even with the issues with the game (talking about core issues, not technical).

I wish you could get a free copy of SimCity for buying a copy of SimCity, then I could gift the 2nd copy to my son and we could play it together. Then I would be 100% in on this.
