Interested to see if anyone else can get this... Wondering if I can cancel my current plan which is similar but expires next month and have my wife sign up in her name... Probably not.

I have the same deal, but got charged ~$15 for the DVR + taxes, so about $55 a month.

Is this a good deal for a new customer? Sorry - I'm new to purchasing internet.
I read in the other forum that Blast and Performance speeds will go up to 50mbps and 30mbps respectively. If I sign up for Blast now, will my speed go up in May? I also saw a deal for 30mbps for $29.99 for 12 months .. but that's for existing customers. |

So sad, no go in Miami. I was super excited because we got all the way through to the point of putting in the address and then the "I'm sorry the address is not serviceable for these services". Transfered to customer service and the best they could do was $89.99.

I had comcast installed on Saturday and the guy confirmed those speed increases you mentioned.
I didn't get a Dvr but probably want to change that. Anyone know how much more that will cost? |

I just signed up for this. It was a "current promo" when I called to switch out my modem and they upsold me to the lower price. They sent us a refurb motorola dvr that's kind of nasty. The channel guide looks like something from 1985 with about 5 channels visible at a time. You can't even program it for what you actually subscribe to so most of the channels show as "not available". Can't see paying much for this thing.
Does anyone know of a good cable dvr with graceful guides? Something that approaches xbmc or other projects? I'm amazed they can still sell such a crude service. |

damn, i pay over 80 for cable+box from comcast. thinking of calling and cancelling ... does anyone know how long you have to be off their books to be considered a new customer?
