I tend to tailor my memory to my motherboard and look to get the right type as well as matching cas latencies and timing so all RAM sticks are uniform. I just find it odd they'd just offer up any ole stick of RAM, though not subpar, to go with that video card. I'm just a little more measured than that.

Anyone know how this compare to an 8800 GT? I bought it like 5 years ago and it doesn't have HDMI which I would really like. I am not looking to upgrade my whole system but if I could get a new card for this cheap that has HDMI then I think it would be worth it. I just don't want to take a step down if this card isn't as good.

My mobo also doesn't support DDR3 so I guess the stick of RAM would go to waste or I could sell it but I doubt I would get much for it.

Keep in mind guys, this is a crippled card as it is not GDDR5.

DDR3 @ 128bit, means 30GB/s of memory bandwidth which will choke at 1080p resolutions and above.

If all your doing is 720p gaming or less, then this card will be perfect but don't expect to bump up the AA or AF with this card.

It's a hell of a deal though at $45, and the ram is just extra on top. I would bite if it wasn't AR.

I don't doubt that. But if you're buying this you're most likely some regular consumer with a relatively pokey machine and a low budget. At $41.25 AR ACB it's a great deal and will give you a decent gaming experience.

It's also an XFX card They have been known to skimp out on components for their current GPUs.

DDR3 + shipping + tax = no deal for me. Offer me free ship or bump that memory stick to 4gb.
