Sams Club 58" Sanyo HDTV (Direct-LED back lit?) 120Hz 1080p $798+tax
So I was walking through Sam's club after joining w/the living social deal (thanks Slickdeals), and saw this 58" TV.
Sanyo FVD5833 58" HDTV [sanyo.com] $798
Sanyo is owned by panasonic.
58" (57.5" diagonal) is a bit of an odd size.
120Hz is pretty standard these days, and do I even need to state it's 1920x1080 resolution?
3 HDMI, Component, USB inputs. No fancy networking features.
Oh what's this? The display tag notes it has "Direct-Lit LED Technology" (see attached image). Well, that's interesting...
Unfortunately, after looking around a little online I couldn't find any confirmation this is a full-array or direct-lit LED TV, and I was looking at it in the warehouse so the lighting wasn't exactly conducive to determining absolute black levels. What few reviews [highdefforum.com] I did find were less than a month old, so this seems to be a fairly new set.

I guess you could have it shipped, but that's another $49, which kind of kills it. Go pick it up.
If you do pick one up, please report back on black levels in a properly dark room, my roommate and I are debating between this and the LG 60" for $798 also at Sams (LG is currently OOS for me locally).
