Free refill w/ Roudup extended purchase @ Lowes ($25.97)

Beat me to it! Went and picked mine up before coming to post. Killer deal, a $20 refill for free! Seems to be online orders only. Ordered online and picked up a half hour later at my local (PHX) store. Weeds die tomorrow! (insert maniacal laughter here)

You would use this in areas that don't have plants you want to keep, like cracks in sidewalks and driveways, or as in my case, walking paths in the garden.

I picked up a 1.33 gallon pump-n-spray with an 8oz concentrate bottle from Costco yesterday for $30 after instant $9 off (non-extended control).

If you buy this, you'd be supporting the most pathetic company in the world. FYI.

Use a brush and apply it to the weeds only. If you spill and splash, you will kill the grass around the weeds. Not the end of the world, it will grow back after a while. Also, in your garden if the weeds are near other plants you could take something like a Solo cup and cut the bottom off and use the cup to isolate the weed. Then simply spray the weed. These tips are best done on a day with little to no wind.

not to TC, but roundup is horrible for the environment. you can make a very effective weed killer with just vinegar, salt, and liquid soap. i've tried it and it works really well:

While you could do just as get2Brad suggests below, but it's a tremendous amount of work when you could just go to the garden center and buy any 2,4 D product. 2,4-D is used on a wide variety of terrestrial and aquatic broadleaf weeds and has little effect on grasses. It does a great job erradicating dandelions, creaping charlie, and the like. Keep in mind, however, if the broadleaf weed you want to kill has already bloomed and gone to seed, it will not kill the seed - only the existing weed itself. To kill the next crop of weed seed you would need a product such as Preen.
