You can also buy it from Staples.com and price match with Amazon.com
http://www.staples.com/Asus-VS247..._IM1KW3628 If you can use dollars off coupon, it would make the deal sweet. |

Is this a better deal than the Asus VH238H? I like the VH because of the integrated speakers and I can use it like a small HDTV.

I hopped on this similar deal from newegg last week (23"). Got it fast. Temporarily using it as a second monitor for my 14" Lenovo labtop. My 14" laptop is 1366x768 I believe. My desktop at work is a 19" 1440x900. I haven't purchased a new monitor in recent years.
The resolution is outstanding. I use computers for web surfing. videos, mostly casual use and occasional gaming. I have zero complaints with this monitor thus far. 23.6 is freakin huge!! I'm sure everyone has their own liking to color saturation etc, which is easily adjusted. Honestly, unless you are some high end photographer or extreme enthusiast, this monitor will more than suffice. I know my fair share of computers, probably much more than the average person. This is MORE than adequate. For $120 I would highly recommend it. If it was $170 I would probably start looking at IPS models. I cannot comment on the durability of it yet, it is my first ASUS monitor. I pray it lasts. In the process of building a new desktop and this will become it's primary display. Can't wait. So I got this deal last week for the VS238H-P:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6824236175 It was $120 AR. I can't find any difference between that monitor and this one, except this one is .6" bigger. Is there something else I'm missing? |

Any thoughts about this vs the AOC i2367FH (IPS) which is on sale at Office Max for $160?
Yes, I know there is a price difference. Assume price isn't a factor. Is the AOC noticeably better? I'm willing to spend $30 more (actually less because of OM rewards) to get a better panel. I keep my monitors for many years so worth it to spend a little bit more to get better quality. TIA |

need help on a low price ips monitor ...
was looking at the ASUS VS239H-P 23-Inch Full-HD LED IPS Monitor or the ViewSonic VX2370SMH at amazon, the asus is $169.99 w 5% cash back (citi forward) w $10 rebate = $151.50 the viewsonic is $152.99 w 5% cash back (citi forward) = $145.35 so price difference is not a factor |

Resolution on text seems horrible. I'm not used to running IPS monitors so I am not doing apple to oranges comparison. My old monitors were 2008 MVA 1920 x 1200 monitors. The text and DPI is noticibly lacking on my 2 new ASUS monitors and is really apparant when looking at smallish text.
Anyone have suggestions to get some better text clarity? |
