That hd is $139 on amazon. Newegg overprices its WD hard drives and does not price match.

Research? You pulled up anecdotal evidence that the $139 HD could be counterfeit.
Which is irrelevant, because your "slick deal" is only $5 cheaper than amazon sells it for all the time. Apparently a ~3% price difference qualified as "slick" to you. I guess you didn't do your research.

Actually, amazon is an authorized retailer. So you're wrong about that.
 http://www.wdc.com/en/buy/ That took me about a minute of "research" to find.  Also, some people are taxed by newegg and not amazon, so your point regarding sales tax is is irrelevant. Your "slick" deal isn't so slick. You might realize this since no one has replied except me and your deal hasn't gotten any thumbs ups. Thanks anyway. Buh bye.
