That's not the point. Price can't be the sole reason to make a mouse pull a horse cart. Its awkward using a regular k/b and mouse from a couch regardless of price, and the transceivers are not designed to power that kind of range.
For me, the Logitech wireless kb/mouse have been superior in every way.
More choices (form factor/features/types/etc), better battery life, better range, better tracking, universal dongle, more comfortable ergonomics, aesthetics, etc.
I honestly can't think of anything that these MS wireless keyboards do better. Even on price, since I got Logitech stuff on sale.
I bought cheaper equivalents to the OP, but putting in a little extra for the nicer gear was worth it.
The batteries last about 2-3 weeks for me in the keyboard. Is there a power switch somewhere that I couldn't find? The mouse has one and the batteries have lasted in that for months now. But I have to take the batteries out of the keyboard every time I'm done with it if I want them to last.
