By the way, I got both gift cards immediately after submitting payment. No phone call, or anything. I paid with Visa, if that matters.

I did a $400 & a $500, they each received a $75 Promo GC.

is there any problem using the promotional ecard and then leaving the remaining amount on a giftcard.
basically i want to spend 400 at dell but have 75 come from the promo certificate and then the 325 come from my 400 gift card. that way the remainder won't have an expiration date.

yep, that's the preferred method. make sure you have them apply the promo card first.
