First time saw a popular deal without any reply.
The 3Ds XL is a Pikachu version which I do not think everybody like it, and they have the same resolution. |

better off getting the 3ds xl. i had problems with the 3ds paint rubbing off and top l and r buttons not working.

the issue with the original 3DS is battery life... it barely hits 3hrs which is worse than even the more powerful Vita |

May be the same resolution, but 3DS games look pretty good, and you can run original aspect ratio for the DS games. Better battery life, and it just looks/feels like a more premium device. Just my opinion - I am getting the Pikachu XL for sure.

I actually wanted to get him the 3ds xl for his birthday but am on a budget. Plus he just asked for a 3ds and didn't specify XL lol. If I lived in a bigger city I would definitely try to get one but online I just can't find a good enough deal... My max budget for getting one is $150.00 so a regular 3DS it is!
