I bought that shitty case/ps that was FP the other day and had to RMA it. Case arrived broken and was super flimsy and the ps was doa.

Ended up getting the $22 case and this. MUCH better quality psu, we'll see about the case.

Sometime the cheapest isn't the slickest deals, especially low end Psu's, I took one look at that Case/Psu deal and passed, Case/Psu combo cost too much to RMA if you get unlucky, to be fair, brand name and highly rated Psu's still have DOA's but the chances are much better, not to mention overall performance and efficiency over time.

This Corsair is pretty good for budget builds, I have bought 4 of them and luckily no DOA's.

Just stuck this into a HTPC that I built tonight... seems like a nice little unit, but the PSU fan's the loudest thing in the box.

It's not loud, but it's definitely audible - not even a smooth sound, almost like a just-not-quite-perfect bearing or something. I don't know that I'll be able to hear it from 10 ft. away across the room but you can hear it when you're a couple feet away.

is the v.me deal still alive?

I recall the site saying March 21st however it's telling me not valid.

This works wonderfully in my Lian Li PC-Q25, which has PSU clearance issues.

recently got a similar deal on this one and could not be happier. Very quiet IMO.
