I've never tried the e-cigs (or know anyone who uses them)
But like some others here in the thread...I was a smoker for 22 years and quit by using Chantix. My wife works for the state and they had a "quit smoking" program that paid the Chantix for us. Both of us were lucky and didn't have any side effects. No depression, no vivid dreams, etc. For those who want to try it...follow the directions very carefully. I think maybe that is where some people may experience problems from. Been smoke free for over a year now. May not work for all (and I'm not trying to take away from the e-cig benefits); but it worked for us. I suggest whatever you decide to do; add a workout routine to your week. You will start to notice the advantages of healthier lungs and it will further motivate you to stay off the cigs. |

Please, I need help from someone who has purchased this model or one that is compatible with it. I purchased this kit; it shipped yesterday. I did not order any accessories, cartomizers, atomizers, e-juice, etc. I currently smoke about 1-1/2 cartons of Marlboro light/week. I REALLY need to quit and hope this will help. I have read over the forum and am still confused. The only "e-cig" product that I have ever used is a disposable one. My questions are below:
(1) Does this item produce "smoke" (vapor)? (2) What mg. of liquid should I purchase & who has the best prices? (3) How much liquid should I purchase per month? (4) How often should I purchase replacement parts and which parts do I need? (5) Is there anything else important that I need to know? Thank you in advance for your help. I am hoping to at least cut-down on my cigarette habit!

1. Yes it produces vapor. I'm guessing much much more than the disposable one you tried. 2. I started with 24 but dropped down to 18 after a week or so. 24 is considered high and 18 medium. You may want to start with the 24 and then go from there. Prices vary but I have been paying $8 for 18ml at awesomevapor and they throw in a 3ml sample of your choice. The samples are a nice way to try different flavors without committing to a large bottle. You can also buy sample sets at most retailers. 3.One to two ml per day. 18ml should get you close to a week. Can vary greatly depending on how much you puff. The US retailers I've used get me the ejuice within 2 days and I'd be hesitant to commit to a months supply until you figure out what you like. 4. I still recommend to maybe add a pack of Boge cartomizers to your juice order. Link. http://www.awesomevapor.com/Boge-...izers.html The Boge cartomizers usually last me 3-7 days. I like them much better than the clearomizers. Between a box of these and the included clearomizers you should be good for a couple of months and also be able to get a feel of how often you will have to replace the consumables. Like I said earlier the US retailers can get you the stuff in a couple of days and just make sure to stock up if you start running low. 5. Much, but just take your time do some research and figure out what you like. As JHC mentioned, below is a great site/forum with loads of information. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ I didnt make any large purchase of liquid or accesories to after a couple of weeks after I started figuring out what I preferred. It does save on shipping to make a large order as most of the places I've dealt with charge $3-5 for shipping but do waive it for larger orders. At the same time if you buy a bunch of juice or accessories you don't like early on you are kind of a hard place. The batteries will not last forever either and if you notice a significant drop in performance after some months of use you may want to grab a backup set. That is why I actually bought this set. I was a Marlboro Menthol Light smoker and when I first started was using a tobacco menthol mix and liked it. At some point it just stopped tasting good to me and started grossing me out a little. I have switched mainly to tobacco/coffee/apple or orange. In about 2/2/1 ratio. Right now I'm still loving the Awsomevapor Special Dark Roast Coffee and can just use that straight up all day. Tried various other flavors some I'd think I like, I hate and others I think I'd hate, I love. Some are better mixed in small quantities with something else. Some I like just once in awhile. RY4 seems to be kind of a all around favorite of many. I got some from one vendor I thought was great and then tried another vendors mix and found it way to sweet and strong, kind of like smoking a cake. Try samples for sure. When I do get something I don't like, usually manage to use it by mixing it in small bits with something else. Sometimes that can become a new favorite in the right proportion. Taste varies greatly depending on if you are using a clearomizer, cartomizer or atomizer. It's all very subjective. Hence not recommending a big purchase of a individual flavor. They are actually giving a six month warranty on the kit. The Ego kit I bought from a US retailer had only sixty days on the batteries and nothing else. When I had a problem with my Ego the US people got it to me in two days though. Don't think you will get that from Fastech and guess it would take them 3 weeks or so to get you a replacement. Might want to keep that in mind, if you do take to the ecig thing you may want to grab an extra kit as a backup. |

You can get a larger battery with variable voltage here www.vape-aholics.com for a little more. I got mine here and it comes with juice and extra replacement heads so you can vape for a while. Free shipping and you dont have to wait for China. This is the cheapest I've seen for a starter variable voltage kit.

Just some differing points of view...
you guys should join the ecig forums and/or fb groups for help. getting the kits are just the first step. |

I noticed lately the packages are getting stuck in customs for almost as long as it took the package to get from China TO customs |

I've been tobacco free since August. Started 2 months before by buying different cigarettes every day, never the same brand, menthol then non, light then full, just whatever was the cheapest. Then started smoking e cigs between real cigs. Remember to time your smoking times as you can just smoke away on the ecigs. The on August 12, lit my last tobacco cig and the next day just used the ecigs. Friend gave me some V2 compatible cigs and batteries. Found out I could refill used cartridges a few times, buy the cheapest fluid I can find and am almost done with ecigs I think. Even buying some batteries, some juice and prefilled carts I have spent way less than I would have been burning up. Just got the cig with the usb cord attached and find I smoke less out and puff mostly when I can plug into my usb port. I think I'll be done with this stuff soon.

I purchased the more expensive : Blu E-Cig and they did help me quit smoking. 2 1/2 months and still smoke free. I was a pack a day smoker for 20+ years.
So.. yes E cigs can help you quit. but seriously you have to be honest with yourself and WANT to quit. As for the product... I found Blu refills to be on the expensive side... at 15.99 for pack of 5 I found out Blu uses a Juice called Johnson's Creek and searched google...and http://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/ there you are. I purchased a few sample bottles and yeah.. it's the same stuff. I quit using E-cigs before I ran out of juice ... I wish all those trying to quit the best of luck and trust me if you want to quit you can and you will. |
