Does anyone else's laptop refer to their laptop as an X202E on the bottom? Where can I find my windows serial number? Every computer I have purchased has had this number on a sticker on the bottom, this one doesn't have one.

My S200e has the same X202e on the bottom.
Are you asking about the Windows key code? If so, http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

That's a bit strange that you would buy an S200e and find it labeled as an X202e.
Am I correct that yours came with an external DVD but has no built in Bluetooth?

They probably share similar hardware, mine is labeled as x202e and the box only contained the laptop and power cord.

I updated by bios to rev 208, boot time is improved but I am unable to access bios setup or boot device options. Anyone else have this problem?

It's not quite as simple as it used to be.
Here's how it's done.
[makeuseof.com]

Accessing Boot Options

There are several ways to access Windows 8’s boot options menu. The easiest one to find is in the PC Settings application – press WinKey+C to reveal the Charms bar, click Settings, and select Change PC settings to access it.

In the PC Settings application, select the General category and click the Restart now button under Advanced startup. Your computer will restart and you’ll enter the Windows 8s boot options menu, where you can access the UEFI BIOS and change other settings.

If you’re just here to access your computer’s UEFI BIOS, click the Troubleshoot tile.

This will reveal an Advanced Options screen with a variety of tools – the UEFI Firmware Settings tile will take you to your computer’s BIOS. (On UEFI, which stands for “Unified Extensible Firmware Interface”, the firmware settings menu is equivalent to a traditional PC’s BIOS.)

I had read that the S model sold by Staples, was supposed to included an external DVD. To be sure of which model you have, check for Bluetooth.
If it has Bluetooth, then it's an actual X202e model.

That sounds exactly like the symptoms, as described by users on the Amazon site.
Is yours one of the refurb Q200E from this sale?
Regardless of which it is, those folks who have the same wifi problem as you, have been replacing it with the Intel Centrino 6235anhmw WiFi/Bluetooth mini PCI card.
I think I remember them saying that it cost around $35, and was well worth it.
I just found it on Amazon for $28. [amazon.com]

I think you'll be OK.
From what I read, those who changed it were very pleased with the results.

i hope so! anybody know how hard it is to install the card? im assuming its just removing all the screws on the bottom and popping off the bottom cover and i should see the card, just remove the antenna wires and pop it out, pop in the new card and connect the antenna and put it back together?

Might want to take a look at this before jumping in.
