Vibram FiveFingers Multisport Shoes from $32 + Free Shipping

An employee in my kid's school wears them and he looks weird on these.

I am a US size 9, so would the size 9.5-10 fit me?

These must smell something nasty running in them for a while.

I was skeptical too, before walking around REI for 5 minutes in these things made me a believer. Running is a total joy, now. Though, I worked out barefoot before I got these shoes so I didn't feel any muscle benefit when I started wearing them.

I'm not through with my current pair of KSOs but I'm getting another pair now, anyway (and in a respectable color). I'm going to start collecting these shoes. The best.

Don't go by 6pm's size calculator. Go to the Vibram's website to get your actual size (40-whatever). You have to measure your foot.

You can check other sites for the Sprint. Same sole as KSO, but not that mesh upper up top to KSO (keep stuff out). If it's just for the weight room, that'll do. Or the classic.

Is 12.5 all the bigger these things go up to or are there brands with bigger sizes?

I remember the first time I saw someone wearing them was at Bonnaroo (the music festival if you are unaware) in 2007 or 2008. Was very impressed with them and wanted a pair, but unfortunately, for those of us with wide feet, these are not the best option.

Source? My research seems to suggest that most vibrams are fine for wide feet.

Got the Bilka LS in blue. Can't wait to find out if all the hype with these kinds of shoes is justified.

Personal experience. I found them to be very uncomfortable and felt like they were crushing my foot after wearing them for an extended period of time. Tried them on more than once, even broke down and bought a pair at REI. After wearing them and them not stretchng out or loosening, REI took them back. Maybe others with wide feet will have better luck than I did.

I own a pair of the Bilkas and have been using them exclusively as my running shoes. I normally do 3-4 miles at about 9:30 minutes miles. I also wear them at the gym for lifting. These will wreck your calves until you build up your muscles, but my actual feet did not hurt. Also, you need to have a decent foot strike to begin with before using these. On occasion I have to use my old shoes at the it's like wearing boat anchors.

The LS versions (speed laces) are supposed to be for wider feet or higher arches. The laces allow a little more custom fit.

Very strange... measure my feet based on the method on Vibram. gave me size 38 which only fit in women's section... does that sounds right?
