Hit the road with the latest navigation information at your fingertips. With the new Honda 2013 DVD Map Update, your direction will be guided by a system that promises optimal performance and identifies new highways, subdivisions, businesses, and points of interest. With map coverage that includes the 48 contiguous United States and Canada, your Honda will be equipped for travel both near and far.

2013 Orange DVD Map Update v3.C0 [navigation.com]
Compatible with the following vehicles:
Honda Accord 2003-2005

2013 White DVD Map Update v4.B1 [navigation.com]
** Click on Orange DVD link FIRST to get sale price (cookies enabled), then use model selector or click link above to get White DVD sale price. **
New Feature Enhancement for the 2013 DVD Map Update:
There is a new setting of Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) for use on US highways, where there is an ETC toll collection system in use. Many toll roads across the US and Canada only utilize the ETC system. Users may now choose to 'minimize' or 'maximize' routing on these toll roads under the SETTINGS->ROUTING AND GUIDANCE options. The default setting is set to 'minimize' ETC, which means the system will try to avoid ETC only roads. Users who have registered with their local ETC highway agency, and have a valid transponder in their vehicle, can choose the 'maximize' setting to ensure they are routed on these ETC only highways.

Compatible with the following vehicles:
Honda Odyssey 2006-2010
Honda Pilot 2006-2011
Honda Accord 2006-2012
Honda Ridgeline 2007-2012
Honda Accord Crosstour 2010-2012

Use selector on the left to double check out which disc you need.

Acura map update (no discounts) -- for reference
**May be able to insert a Honda Disc into a Acura model, but be prepared for a 'Honda' interface (Honda splash screen on boot and different color scheme)

Update cost like this is why I decided just 2 weeks ago to go with a model without the nav. Sure it does look nice sitting there, but 3 to 5 years from now that navi in your car looks dated. But so will the car, I guess its a wash. Carry on.

By the way...not that I condone this...is it possible to copy these DVDs to update your car??? Just as question...no need to scream piracy. Simply wondering if in-car nav systems can read that.

I'm wondering this too... like hypothetically speaking of course. If I had both an Odyssey and Ridgeline, then could I purchase 1 DVD and make a copy. Would the copied disc work? Of course, this is something I don't condone, nor would ever do, just wondering if it is a possibility. Like if I bought the disc, then I would of course want to make a copy for a backup...

This is just one of those well-publicized hoaxes that keeps people from even trying. The "code" you're referring to is more or less just copyright protection to keep it from being copied, just like most other software has. If you have the right software to bypass that, you can easily make a copy and use it. Whether or not this is true for EVERY make/model, I don't know, but I know Lexus Navi works with burned copies of the software.
Yep, had a buddy order a Nav disc off ebay for his Jeep and it came as a "copy" and it worked just fine.

If you only drove one of the vehicles at a time or only used the navigiation on one at a time it may actually be permited under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. But ask a lawyer before doing it.

Yes I am serious. You are allowed to make a copy to use and keep the original as archive. I have seen some interpretations of the act, and also some Terms & Conditions for software products which specifically allow you to make a copy to use on a portable device. If you onle use one at a time it may very well fall within the permissible usage of the Act and other copyright law.

After 5 years it will be almost just as accurate as it was the day you buy it since 99.9% of roads do not change. POIs won't be updated but the Honda/Accura POI system is terrible anyways.

To answer a few questions - I have a Honda Odyssey and an Acura MDX. Last year I purchased the 2012 disc for my Acura and the disc also worked in the Honda so yes, you can use it across both platforms unless something changed this year. When I had the Honda disc in my Acura it still showed the Acura interface without any reference to Honda.

About copying the disc - no, you can't make a copy of the disc and use it. There is specific code on the disc that prohibits this. It usually takes someone with a coding skill set a few months to "hack" this in which you'll find that code available on any of your friendly piracy sites.
In the mid-2000, the iso of these DVDs was widely available on the internet but not the newer ones.

I once thought just like you do. I have since realized that the seemless integration is much nicer than a cord hanging down to the power plug. Yes, they are way overpriced, but the integration is worth it to me, I repeat, to me.

I think that most people may come to this conclusion after using a gps both ways.
I have used integrated navigation on rental cars and while it looks nice, the actual mapping and features are not as good as many aftermarket navigation systems.

It really depends on what you want out of your Navi system. If you want all the bells and whistles and up to date POIs and whatnot, then yes, even the best intergrated Navi will leave you wanting within a year or two. For me, I just want directions when I'm going someplace I don't know. I don't care about anything else. And since most roads don't change, I don't mind using a Navi system that's 7 years old, and I very much prefer the integrated look over having to mount little screens in my car.

I'm holding out hope that at some point, some car company will allow me to connect my android or apple phone and use the phone's data connection plus their screen to use Google Maps, which would solve both problems.

I was not referring to the accuracy of the maps but the looks of the navigation itself. The glass, resolution, buttons, speed, design, size etc etc. When I look at some cars from a few years back (Audi comes to mind) seeing the navigation or operating it with today's its crazy different.
