New Nokia Lumia 900 16GB Unlocked GSM Phone Windows 7.8 OS 8MP Camera GPS Wi-Fi $220

my sister has a windows phone. She loves it, but shes super noob. I had a dell venue pro and didn't like the windows OS.... Could never get used to it... reverted back to android and probably wont switch. However, this is a solid deal if you prefer windows.

Great phone, great OS, but 7.8 is the end. No more upgrades, no Roms, no tweaks.

If youre a grown up, an adult, looking for a smartphone...something that simply works and still gives you the option of Facebook or other apps...then this is a great phone.


This wont be for teenie boppers who are looking to match their phones to their carrying case.


I personally own a samsung focus s, and its a solid phone.

I would pay $200 for this if it had a good camera like Nokias tend to. Unfortunately, this is the odd man out with a mediocre camera.

Dead platform. Don't expect updated apps as the WP8 platform requires a different compiler and developers will move to that.

i just took a look on craigslist, and used phones are going for 170-200..

so based on that, then id agree that 220 for a new nokia is a decent price.


i guess, im still amazed at the concept of forking out $200 for a phone that is dead.

I wish they were cheaper too, but if you're actually comparing it to this "deal" the Nexus 4 is a much, much better value.

Buying a discontinued and unsupported phone to save a hundred bucks is pretty short sighted in my book, unless this is literally all you can afford and you just want the basics.

"nice quality" in the $200 price range is very subjective. If the $299 + tax Nexus 4 really is too much, I might suggest getting a Samsung Galaxy Blaze which is a T-Mobile phone you can buy unlocked on ebay for ~$240. Has similar innards to Samsung Galaxy SII, officially supports Android 4.0 although you can install 4.1 via CM10 custom ROM.

But I agree, pay the extra $70+ to get the Nexus 4 if you can. Only reason to go for the Blaze is to save a bit of money or, like my wife, really wanted a smaller phone.

I'm definitely a big tech nerd, and I have a Lumia 920 and I love it. WP8 is a great operating system. Yes, it may not have some of the main stream apps (Instagram, Temple Run, etc.), but seeing as how I'm a grown adult, those aren't very important to me.

To mimic what someone mentioned earlier, it may not be the best bet for someone that wants to have access to ALL of the apps that their friends have, but for someone who wants to stand out with something different, fun, and original, I think WP8 would be a great way to go.

Although this phone runs 7.8, so it doesn't really apply. As many have mentioned, I would pass on this and get a WP8 device. Even a low end Lumia that runs WP8 would be a better investment, in my opinion.

nay the specs just are not there and the win 7 experience no thank u ...I would rather spend 50 beans more for the nexus 4 but hey who am I to decide ur fate bozo's!!!

Great phone at a decent price.

I'd suggest going the used route on CL for $150 or spending $75 more and getting an N4.

The 900 is tough to recommend IMO at $220.

Confession - advice comes from owning 3 different WP's (which I loved). I now have an N4 which I love as well.

windows 7.8 great deal

I was thinking about get a used CL route but searching online found incident where ppl was able to use it for a couple month and their phone stop working. That is due to the carrier blacklist the phone b/c the original owner claim it was stolen after selling their phone, etc. also from my online search, seems like they are doing a national wide blacklisted phone for all the major network. Before national wide blacklist, you could get a blacklisted at&t phone and use it on another gsm network but with the national wide list you cant use it on any US network. Just a word of warning for used CL phone.
