yeah intel is coming out with ther fourth gen processors so they are trying to get rid of their 3rd gen "i" prcessors before that happens. but the price that i paid is worth it on the outlet

The radeon 7570 is a 40nm rebadge of the radeon 6570 (which runs the same gpu as the 6670, just downclocked). It is a nice budget HTPC/light gaming card, but does not make much sense paired with the i7-3770 in a desktop (unless you have no need for gaming capabilities). A lot of people sell their cards off and upgrade to something in the 7800 or 660 level. Dell's PSU's are rated for up to 225W graphic cards.

I actually just bought and am waiting for a 7570 with 1gb gddr5, but it will be for my htpc (for Netflix and console port gaming on the big screen) to replace a 4650 ddr2 512mb. Not surprisingly, the original owner of the 7570 says he bought an XPS 8500 and almost immediately upgraded the card.

How much Memory can this thing handle and where is the best place to buy it?

I'm looking for something that will run Flight Sim X maxed out. Is this too much, too little? Would a Windows 7 machine run it better? That game is several years old now - not sure how far to go with a new machine without going too far. I don't do any other gaming.

If this had a ssd cache solution I would totally get this for some friends but I can't recommend a desktop with just a spinning disk, all this performance is wasted on HD latency. While I could just add one on, I'd much rather it be a canned solution through dell.

In that case, keep your eye out on dell outlet. They sometimes have a number of systems with SSD + HDDs. They just recently had a sale on no monitor xps 8500 boxes with i7 + 256 gb SSDs + 1 or 2 TB HDD's + Radeon 7770 in the $800's.

If only 7570 was 7870
