![]() Now that you mention it, I seem to recall that Apple being Apple, they do things a little differently and by default use a private network numbering scheme of 10.whatever rather than 192.168.whatever that most other routers use. Either one is fine - both ranges are reserved for private network IP addresses. What's important is to use the IP address that you see assigned to the camera in the Airport utility. So... back to basics. Assuming it's working for you on your Mac when you go to 10.0.1.2 (or whatever it happens to be), the first step is to make sure you're configuring the port forwarding correctly as below: 2. Setup Port Mapping on the base station. You don't care about the UDP ports, you can set it to 80 or leave it blank if it will let you. And forgive me if these steps don't agree with what you see - I just got them from some random webpage so they might be out of date. Make sure you "save" or whatever, maybe double check to make sure the change "stuck". Once that is done correctly, you should be able to go to the IP from whatismyIP.com and see your cam. Once again note that this might not work from your home network, so probably testing on iPhone on 3G (with wifi disabled) is the best way to check. Once that is working, you can worry about the dynamic DNS and DHCP reservation. In brief, the DHCP reservation is to make sure that your camera's IP never changes, because it might... and if it does, the port forwarding you configured will be forwarding to the wrong IP and won't work anymore. And Dynamic DNS lets you use "wooderson.no-ip.org" (or whatever you setup) rather than having to use the IP from whatismyIP.com... which by the way can also change without notice. But forget about all that for now, the first thing to figure out is the port forwarding. ![]() Edit: make sure you don't have port 80 forwarded to more than one IP. It can only go to one at a time.
