You should mention that it's Refurbished.

Solid device other than issues with wireless connectivity. GPS is useless if you care about that, and WiFi range is limited compared to other tablets.

I got one of these refurbs with the V.me coupon and rebate last week. The tablet is pretty great (I got the dock for the t201/700 at Best Buy on the cheap.) The refurb came in new condition, with the exception of already having the Jelly Bean update. A couple of comments:

1. The Wifi isn't nearly as bad as reported, at least on my unit. The university I work for has pretty poor wireless and the Prime was able to pick up a solid signal.

2. The GPS is functionally useless. Really, really bad. Until late last year, they gave away GPS dongles for this unit for free to make up for the deficiency. Now, if you want GPS you have to pay for it.

3. The biggest problem with the Prime, and the most noticeable problem on use, is neither of the above. The Transformer Prime has awful I/O performance which, with settings on Default, results in a large number of ANR errors (Android Not Responding) as applications hang. This is a problem across the entire Transformer Line (101, 201, 300, and 700) and not isolated to just the Prime. It's hardware based, and it's likely the result of dirt slow EMMC chips.

If you are not afraid of rooting the tablet, you can use Data2SD and move your system to a faster performing MicroSD card (which helps the bottleneck considerably). Otherwise, there are two quality of life things you can do to make make the ANR errors less frequent. First, make sure applications are not auto-updating in Google Play Store. Nothing will crash/hang applications faster than an application updating. Second, go to Settings > Developer Options > Background Process Limit > At Most 4 Processes. This seems to help considerably.

Despite these issues, it's a really solidly built and lightweight tablet. It streams Netflix and video off of my Plex Server flawlessly. The Super IPS+ screen is very bright and readable outdoors. It's build quality is superb due to the Gorilla Glass screen and metal body. The keyboard dock works wonders for Polaris Office, OfficeSuite Pro, and Kingsoft Office, as well as for document editing in Google Drive and just sending emails. At ~$200-250 for the tablet, it's really a steal despite the issues above.
