Why can't people just buy a Panasonic plasma and be safe?

Panasonic is considering getting out of the Plasma business soon. So I would be safe and go LG or Samsung.

Purchased this TV about 6months ago for $1,100 and love it. Great screen and no issues.

Ended Up jumping on the deal. Glasses are about $50 a pop

AG-S350 are the glasses for this TV.

Cheapest glasses on ebay atm. Maybe a good thing to use your EBay bucks on.

Also an amazon review led me to these 3D glasses that are supposed to be compatible with the TV they look sturdier than LG's.

Ugh, I was about to pull the trigger, but I am hung up on the Active 3D. I really don't want to hear the wife complain of eye strain.

How would that be safe? The article says "nothing has been decided." New Panasonic plasmas are releasing this year that supposedly have an even better picture quality than the highly acclaimed models the year before so Panasonic is still in the plasma market. If anything people should be encouraged to grab Panasonic plasmas while they're still available.

Don't have space for any more TVs (unless I start throwing away perfectly good older plasmas), but damn that's a great price. Would jump on it in a heartbeat Wink.

This plasma, or the LG 55lm7600 LED. Besides price, anyone have any comparisons between the 2?

Really want to order this but I dont care about 3D. I also currently have an older 720p Panasonic Plasma X series or w/e the better model was. It's amazing. I may just wait for a decent Panasonic

You don't pay Paypal fees. The seller does.

I plan to put this behind my projector screen in the basement. I have been curious about 3d but some of the smaller sets just aren't worth it for what they are charging and something only a little bigger could cost 1k more.
I could see the lines on a passive pc monitor so I am hesitant to try it with a bigger tv. This may even end up replacing my projector for most uses.
