Warning... I got these for $49.99 after seeing them highlighted on SlickDeals a couple weeks ago. They are horrible and don't resemble anything near 700 thread count cotton. They actually have a shiny sheen to them and feels like a synthethic. Not soft like cotton. Worse than that, threads were coming loose. And the color you get will be a crap shoot. Mine was a completely different shade of color than the Amazon pictures. The only thing good is the Amazon supported return service for dissatisfaction, but still a waste of time to go return them.

I don't understand why you people keep falling for these fake thread count deals. ANY deal you see on all the discounted sites for any amount of threadcount is just a lie. You want real thread count go to neiman marcus, you want to lie to yourself then keep buying the tanga, or luzy's garbage.

These aren't Egyptian cotton. All sheets that are actual Egyptian cotton have to have a logo that looks like this: http://imgur.com/N7xSfHh
Companies have been peddling terrible sheets for years under the guise that they're Egyptian cotton. |

Seriously people, if you want to buy $20-29 sale sheets, buy some cheap microfiber sheets direct from China on ebay. You'll probably end up with about the same experience and pay less than getting had like this. And you know what? If you like cheap microfiber sheets, that's GREAT. There's nothing wrong with you, and you can happily save a lot of money on bedding, even with having to re-buy every so often as they wear out. I'm being serious. No one says you have to like cotton sheets, much less high thread count ones. (1) the only review on this page is clearly astroturf. It doesn't get more obvious. (2) A number of the positive reviews on the other product sold by this seller and supposedly made by the same manufacturer are clearly astroturf reviews. (3) The supposed manufacturer ("Francois et Mimi") doesn't exist, at least not according to some googles, which all only return either these two amazon pages or linkfarm pages connecting to them. (4) It says it's 700 thread count. And cotton. And supposedly egyptian (e.g. long staple) cotton. And not microfiber/polyester. I also have a bridge for sale, FYI. I'm not saying you won't like your new "cheap" sheets. But they have ALL of the markings of the business as usual hot SCAM in the bedding industry, and for the quality that many are saying these actually are, you can usually find cheaper DEALS for that kind of quality. Just keep some perspective on what you're paying and what you're likely going to be getting. From everything to do with the gray areas of the bedding industry and the reviews on the other similar sheet set product by this seller, I'd say this is anything but a slick deal most likely. You'll likely instead be actually paying a premium for what you get just because of what it's being claimed to be sold as. |
