USD (sub-500 season...for several years now) almost beat both, so I didn't have either going far in the bracket I filled out.

Go with Vegas betting lines if in doubt. You'll get more right than wrong except those border line +/-2 then it can go either way.

Even the "blind" picking WSJ isn't really blind. Because you know the seeds and the odds that a 1-2 is going to beat a 15-16 is 9999/1... And if we are using "blindly" to mean "I didn't look up anything"...then you are right there with 90% of the people that fill one out

So far, both the WSJ and my regular bracket are sitting about 11 or 12 right. I lost the last 3 games last night! But in my regular bracket I had new mexico (doh!) so the WSJ is looking better, haha

In my best bracket, I won 7 of 16. I'm not worried because I have all of my Elite 8 intact, which is where the money is won. These games barely matter

it was crazy to watch. that is exactly the reason everyone has been so down on them and their #1 seed. yeah, they earned it but they clearly have no place with the big boys.

That's fair. I say blind in that 'I didn't look up jack shit, haven't watched a basketball game in 3+ years, rushed through it during work in the morning, and just hope I do well" kind of way.

Those are the best kinds of picks!

It always bugged me in Jr. High, we would do one at school...and one of the girls would always win it...because either there are a ton of upsets and the "pick on colors" one wins, or there are next to zero upsets and the "pick the best seed" girl wins it!

Our class was also 3 to 1 (girls to guys) so that might be skewing my memories also.
