Honestly, the corner issue is only a minor issue IMO. Considering that the corners only make up < 0.1% of my house, I am more concerned with how well it cleans the rest. Both the Neato and Roomba don't stop you from needing to vacuum it yourself every now and then. I just break out the Dyson and get the corners at that time (~ every 2 weeks).
Now that the batteries are well broken in on mine, it can clean the entire house without issue, even navigating through the table legs in both my dining room and breakfast room without scuffing them up. And ofcourse, you get the nice straight lines that most people associate with just vacuuming.
Found one here for $211, they are listed as "Opened and Resealed Box" shipping was $5 and if it is your 1st purchase from them than the promo code WELCOME saves you 10% off. Mine came to $208 all in after the discount was applied.
Roomba is quieter because it doesn't have much suction; it's really more of a sweeper than a vacuum. I've used both and now I only use the Neato. The Roomba did bump into everything, and it was very inefficient; you never knew if it really covered the whole room or not. I also had to clean the brushes constantly; I have medium hair length that sheds everywhere, and the hair would get wound up around the brush gears in the Roomba and cause it to stop with a blinking error light. The Neato is much better for that. I still have to clean it occasionally but not very often at all.
Always wanted one of these, but still can't justify spending that much money on something like this. Do they really work that well or is it just more of a cool gadget that does a decent job?
As others have said, it doesn't replace using a real vacuum, but it does a good job of picking things up in between vacuuming sessions so you can reduce how often you do the full vacuum. Whether it's worth it or not depends on how much you value your time vs. money.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
I have read a lot on the Neato. Can someone please put my one question to rest as I can not find a straight answer. Is the xv-11 with pet and allergy the same as the xv-21. I have read that the 21 has better springs.. and a different motor. Also that the pcb board is different. Can anyone confirm that the 21 is better then the 11 with kit.. or not.
EDIT: I guess it depends on your MFG Date. Guess I will find it when FedEx delivers it
