Dude, you are a disrespectful troll. I built an HTPC for under $300 with this A4, an MSI mini-ITX D3 Hudson motherboard, a kingston V300 SSD and a stick of 8gb corsair ram. This little bugger is screaming fast compared to our previous HTPC build. Its quiet, sips electricity and works great for BluRay, HD OTA signal and even plays BioShock @ 1080p quite nicely with a PS3 controller. Only thing is I wish I went with dual 4GB sticks instead of the single to gain the extra channel performance, oh well, I will just need to buy a second 8GB stick.

Anyhow, go bother someone else, this is a great $200 pc.

Not even closer homer. Your 1st link is USED, a 32-bit OS, dvd -ROM, with intel on-board video. The OP's deal will run circles around your system. But keep trying!

If you don't mind slightly worse game (and only game) performance or don't particularly need a 1TB HDD, it's actually cheaper.

Anyway, this was a good deal if you were ok with the A4's performance and needed a 1TB HDD. I would personally prefer the G1610 with HD2500 for an HTPC, because it's faster, lower wattage and has a very quiet stock cooler -- and would work out to about the same price.

Just built a budget build for a friend using this build, and if gaming is not on your top 3 things you use a pc for, this thing is a very solid build, it's plenty fast for general desktop use and sips electricity, which is a good thing, because the logisys psu that often frequent newegg combo diy builds are pure rubbish. But with an entire system only using about 180 watts, that's not really an issue. forgot to add, the thing never gets over 33c. Never. Needed no fans other than the stock cpu fan, its whisper quiet. I like this trinity/llano platform for htpc/casual desktop use. BTW. It will run older games with no problems whatsoever and a lot of the less demanding newer ones on low/med settings at lower res. .
