Great post. I already own a couple of these--- but not the DLCs. Just the shogun and DLCs are totally worth it. The others are a nice bonus.

My most favorite game out of all of these is Medieval 2 total war something about medieval times is mesmerizing. Followed by Shogun 2.
Avoid playing empire or napoleon first it will be give you headaches at first, it's not that optimized.

phenomenal games, you owe it to yourself to pick these up. They are great games, and they have a stupendous modding community. I'm just going to highlight a few here.

Awesome. Rome, Empire, and Shogun 2 are my favorites. And Darthmod for Empire is fantastic.

Rome TW with Barbarians expansion is just incredible for making your own scenarios, never had so much fun, even when compared to Medieval 2 and Empire Total War. Rome is still the top IMO.

They were cheaper on Steam during the winter sale, so unless you are just dying to play them right now, you can hold off til the Summer sale and snag them then and save even more.

Empire with Darthmod is a mind-blowing expansion of the game that I would recommend to anyone.

Personally I'm tied between Rome and Empire in terms of what I play the most. It depends on what era I want to play really.

I picked up all the TW games (minus Shogun 2) on the last Steam sale for $12.50.

love rome total war... always wanted to try the others out but I missed out when it was $24 bucks... may have to jump but dont have the time to play right now... or the time to download all these GBs... damn that would take a long a$$ time!!!!

hmmm... i have like half of things on the list and missing the other half, anyone know if i buy the grand master collection the ones i have already will be able to give out to my friends or no?
