netTALK DUO II VoIP Gateway - DUO ENTRY

netTalk customer service is non existent. I own one of this for a few months. It failed suddenly last week and that is when my nightmare started. I tried to call the customer service and I had to wait for 2 hrs to get a human. Simply that person forwarded the call to the tech team and another 2 hours wait. Before I could talk to the tech team they disconnected the line. I started over and was able to talk to the tech team after another 4hrs of wait. The tech team was unable to fix the issue. I might get a replacement, but not sure when. Its been already a week and no sign of them sending a new unit. I dont want to spend another 4 hrs on phone to find out and of course they wont reply to your emails. I ordered vonage.

I would strongly suggest against buying this. All is well only until you get an issue. You can google and read the complaints, even their face book is full of such complaints.

I agree with you on this. I do own netTalk. though, I've never had issue with the unit, touch wood. I do know that many people who did have issue with the unit, has had very bad experience with their CS..

You are lucky, my waits are typically 6 hours total every time I call just to get a rep. If you call immediately in the morning when they open you might get lucky with a 30 minute wait.

Granted, I only had trouble getting it setup initially and haven't had any problems since.

But still, I am up for renewal in a week or two and am considering going with someone else.

you should not use more than 3000 min (including incoming and out going) If you exceed 3000 min your line will be disconnected without any information. To reactivate you have to pay $10

Yep they changes their T&C several times with regards to "Unlimited" minutes. I'm happy with Vonage even though I'm paying more.

why dont u guys just get and obi100 for 40 bucks and google voice? which ends up being free.

nettalk is TOTAL crap. avoid it

They limited the so called Unlimited international to 600 minutes per month. I prepaid for one year and now I only have 600 min international calling per month after which it stops working and they will not refund as well, sucks !!!

want a deal get voipo.com less than 15 a month and when they run their specials its 7 a month. great customer service and all sorts of features. can't beat them for a reliable provider.
