Sears/Kmart YMMV : $10 in Points + free shipping

I didn't get this. I got en email that I have received $5 in points to use online or in store.

Thanks OP for the heads up. I got $5 this time.

Cheapest thing I've found at Sears is a $0.99 2-pack [sears.com] of AA batteries.

And here is a $0.69 eraser [kmart.com] from Kmart.

So do we get $5/$10 worth of points after qualifying purchase? Or do we get $5/$10 off the qualifying purchase?

I had one of these last week and had a heck of a time trying to get it to apply (usually it isn't a problem). I got onto the online chat and the customer service rep said to go ahead and make the purchase and then they would apply the rewards. I made the purchase and then they said, sorry we can't apply the rewards. I told them to just cancel the order and they said they couldn't and I would just have to return the item to the store. I had to call and it was a big pain but it got cancelled.

Moral of the story: don't listen to the customer people when they try and trick you into the purchase. They are morons.

It takes off the qualifying purchase. I just put $11 worth of items in the cart. Originally had $0.04 in rewards... applied the rewards..poof.. final check out price is $0.96

sweet. email was confusing. thought it meant if you use rewards, you get $10 worth added after. But it was in there. So, $0.65 for a garden hose. nice.

I got $5 off - looks like i'll be picking up another tool tote for $5 after points.

Oh this is so true. Kmart/sears customer service is a wonder to behold.
